I have been designing web pages and internal/external `static` sites privately for a few years now, intially in Hotmetal and the last few years in FrontPage and Dreamweaver3.

Now using Dreamweaver 8, I utilise Ulead Cool 3D, Photoshop Elements and Xara webstyle for graphics content.

Keeping a site simple, attractive and easy to navigate rather than over-complicated is the aim, and hopefully this comes over on the initial navigation of the sites. Alongside this I try and aim at the `target` site visitor, in other words using a layout and design that will hopefully keep the visitor interested enough to look over the complete website.

There are many competitive web design options out in the big wide world, but often at an inflated price. A powerful, dynamic and database driven site might well be worth the investment for business, but I aim to keep my sites clean and basic, hopefully `pleasing to the eye`.
