8th May 2008: A big thank you to `Rebecca Preece` in Llanelli for taking my cards this week, and for Sharon at Named and Framed for her continued support. Both are worth a visit whilst in Llanelli. All support is appreciated. I have recently concluded some webdesign, and that has delayed my art projects. It`s on the board though! 16th April 2008: The watercolour painting of the Great Crested Grebe as now been SOLD. 15th April 2008: I will be moving away from my nature-themed work for a while and shortly be starting a watercolour of Greenfield Chapel in Llanelli. This year sees Greenfield celebrate its 150th Anniversary, and it seemed fitting to try and create a representation of the Church Building in watercolour. I will be stage paiting this as and when time permits, and (like the last Sparrowhawk painting) an image of each stage will be posted on the Blog. 3rd April 2008: A new design to the website should be up by the end of April. It will be a series of flash-style galleries going through my watercolour, drawing and photography. Details will be on the Blog as and when things are finalised 29th March 2008: I have just finished a watercolour of a Sparrowhawk to compliment my Nature theme I have been doing since last year. Images of different stages of the painting can be viewed on the Blog. I am in the proces now of redesigning this site using flash `Lightroom` galleries. These galleries will be drawing, life-drawing, watercolure (early, general and nature), and for photography. The news page will also change into an Information page. Thank you to Taffys and the Art Box for also taking my cards over the last few weeks. 9th February 2008: Over the next month I will be adding a further photography gallery to the site. Images will include those taken in the area of Three Cliffs Bay. Watch this site or the Blog for details. PAINTING: The watercolour painting of the Sparrowhawk is progressing slowly in between almost constant work or family commitments, and it`s development will also be updated on the Blog. There has already been a gap of over two weeks since brushes hit paper, but more will be done over the next week. 17th January 2008: I have now started the next watercolour painting. Progress will be shown at intervals on the Blog. Russ January 2008: For those who have regularly looked in on this site it is probably well known now that the later part of last year became `quiet` due to my hospitalisation and subsequent period of recovery. Things are looking up, and I would thank you for the e-mails received. The News items prior to 2008 have now been removed, but a few things remain outstanding. I am looking for the following: - an alternative space to use somewhere in the locality of the Llanelli area - a potential venue to put on a small but well-lit exhibition in the region during 2008 - a secondary, local life model to work with (in the event when commitments might clash with the person I have worked with during 2007) - places that might be prepared to display my mini-advertising posters.
