DOZING HERON

This large, A2 sized drawing of one of my favourite marsh birds was based upon another artist`s image I came across. (For copyright purposes, the initial image I worked from was un-named, and this drawing was an interpretive free-hand).

I was taken by its squashed-up pensive mood, resting on one leg anad massive foot!

The drawing was completed in stages over a few weeks using four pencil strengths, on smooth cartridge paper.

Framed in Pine and glass. No Mount.
